European platform for the access to personal and familial rights

International Social Service-Bulgaria (ISS-Bulgaria) represents the ISS network in the project funded by European Commission.

There are 7 project partners, incl. ISS-Bulgaria. The other partners are: Femmes Informations Juridiques Internationales Rhone Alpes, Universite Jean Moulin Lyon III, Universita Degli Studi Di Verona, Universite De Liege, Association pour le droit des etrangers  и Deutsches Institut Fur Jugendhilfeund Familienrecht Ev.

The project aims at encouraging coordination and collaboration between different actors to help any individual confronted to difficulties related to international family matters in Europe. The ultimate objective of the project is creation of an online platform that will facilitate the cross-border cooperation on European level. The platform will contribute to improving effective access to justice, will promote the training of professionals, will increase the users’ awareness about their rights and will encourage the exchange of experiences and knowledge amongst the involved actors.

Until now the six project partners have produced a comprehensive questionnaire with regard to matrimonial matters; parental responsibility; child abduction; maintenance; unaccompanied children; protection of asylum seekers, refugees and stateless persons as well as family mediation.

As a next step, ISS-Bulgaria is going to distribute this questionnaire to all EU based ISS members as to collect information that will be used for the creation of the online platform. Thus, ISS network will be presented on the platform, which will increase our potential, visibility and recognition.

For that reason ISS-Bulgaria, on behalf of the ISS network, encourages all ISS members in the EU to contribute by filling out the questionnaire in question.
