• ISS is an international non-governmental organization.
• ISS is a network of organizations in almost all countries of the world, which cooperate on cases with international ramifications.
• ISS was founded in 1924 to assist those who had to cope with problems resulting from (voluntary or forced) migration.
• ISS is politically, religiously and ideologically neutral.
• ISS provides services in cases of family conflicts with an international ramifications, international child and youth protection and welfare, child abduction, migration, etc.
• ISS-Bulgaria’s work relies on a world’s solidarity of all the members of the ISS network.

The network includes more than 160 states in which branches, associated representatives (bureaus) and correspondents are working for the network.
